Overview:On behalf of NOLA Lab Rescue, I would like to win part of this reward to continue helping more dogs that come through the hands of the rescue. Each dog that NOLA Lab Rescue pulls from a shelter, they care for it in every way possible. NOLA Lab Rescue spays or neuters the dogs, gets them vaccinated, microchipped, de-wormed, and tends to any other health issues suffered by the dog.
After nursed to health, NOLA Lab Rescue volunteers go on long weekend drives transporting dogs across the country, and border - Louisiana to Ontario! Depending on where the different dogs are located, volunteers have assigned routes where they drive approximately 4 hours until they meet the next person.
When the dogs finally arrive in Ontario, they are all placed into more foster homes until a carefully screened family has been found for them.
NOLA Lab Rescue could use this money to put towards a much-anticipated goal - an official transport van. This way, we can pick up all the dogs in one comfy and roomy vehicle, where they can enjoy a smoother weekend ride.
