The Aviva Community Fund competition challenged Canadians to submit an idea that would create a positive change in their communities.
The most popular ideas, as chosen by Canadians, would have a chance at sharing in the $500,000 Aviva Community Fund.
With over 2,000 original ideas submitted, Canadians were definitely in the mood for change. And thanks to the help of over two million votes, eight communities across Canada were selected as the recipients of the first Aviva Community Fund. These projects are now underway and will be making a difference by the end of 2010.
