Overview:

VANCOUVER PEACE VILLAGE.

Peace inside.  Peace on Earth.

Vancouver Peace Village is a non-profit network of people, land, buildings and houses offering practical solutions and support for healing, cooperation and sustainability. This includes a Healing Lodge and a Cooperation Network ... all within a living EcoVillage.

VANCOUVER HEALING LODGE
Vancouver Peace Village will offer courses, group support and one-on-one service for the healing of mind, body and soul.  This would include fitness training, relaxation, nutrition, massage, counseling, career coaching, motivational seminars and turn-your-vision-to-action groups.

VANCOUVER COOPERATION NETWORK
Vancouver Peace Village affirms that all people have the right to affordable housing, healthy food, clean water, medical/dental insurance and child care.  Our vision is to be a centre for innovative cooperation for these five key areas.

As a special project under cooperative housing, we will work with Covenant House Vancouver to transition one homeless youth per year into a safe place to live.

VANCOUVER ECOVILLAGE
Vancouver Peace Village will operate on the principles of 100% Sustainability, 100% Regeneration and 0% Waste, offering community resources for all things sustainable, including: recycling and composting drop-off, electric car charging stations, workshops and feed-the-community gardens.

HOW WILL WE USE THE AVIVA COMMUNITY FUND?
We will use the Aviva Community Fund for Stage 1 of development for Vancouver Peace Village.  This will include a website, rent, two part-time employees, a plan for long-term financial sustainability, setting up the healing lodge and, of course, beginning our outreach to the community.
