Me and my brother are looking to make a difference in our community by creating a safe place where kids, teens, young adults and whoever can enjoy skateboarding and other activities without being hassled.  Currently in our town there are no facilities for youth and we think it would be great to have a place for unprivileged kids to have a sense of belonging and organization. We will be opening a facility that will cater to the youth an centralizing on the skateboarding scene in our community, offering after school plans and lessons on safe skating and attempting maneuvers.  There will also be lounge areas and places for kids to hang out and enjoy themselves play pool or ping pong, Foosball, air hockey and various other games. Our intention is to keep kids of the busy streets and place them in a supervised area so they can enjoy themselves and have a good time but having piece of mind that they will be safe and supervised at the same time.  Growing up there has always been programs for kids who play conventional sports but what about the kids that didn't try out for the hockey team or football basketball etc... What about the kids who couldn't afford to play or who were good enough to try out but not quite good enough to make the team. We are looking to make a positive influence in these unfortunate situations and try to keep the youth off the street.  Eventually we would like to see this happen in cities all over Canada but unfortunately we don't have the funds for that, and for the most part we don't have the funds for the proper facility ether. I'm hoping to get this organization off the ground and start rolling within the next couple years as my funds for the project are very minimal, we are not looking to make profit, we are only looking to make a difference in our community and in the lives of the unfortunate and forgotten youth in our surrounding area. This is a dream that will happen whether we get support or not, this is a passion i have had all my life and before my time is up, we will make a diffrence maybe not right away but with a little help this could become one of the greatest things that has and will ever happen to our community and the people in it.
