Why did Aviva create the fund?
At Aviva, our community is at the heart of our business. As a major Canadian insurer, we employ more than 3,000 people and insure more than 3 million Canadians who live and work in communities all across Canada. We also work closely with independent brokers and small and medium sized businesses in communities all across this country. We want to support you, our customers, our friends and our colleagues, and your communities. Unless you are a customer and are familiar with our excellent claims service, you may not be aware of Aviva and how we help Canadians every day. At Aviva, we really take care of and support what's important to you-and we want you to know that.
We created the Aviva Community Fund competition to help make a positive impact in Canadian communities by funding local and national initiatives for change. We care about our communities, and we know you do too.
What types of changes will happen?
We want to create desirable, impactful changes that will increase the quality of life and truly benefit the community. Whether it's upgrading your neighbourhood, encouraging healthy lifestyles, assisting people in need, helping preserve the environment, improving education, bringing culture and creativity to the community, or engaging youth in positive activities-our goal is to make good things happen for our neighbours.
Where will the ideas come from?
