We want to support what's important to you, so we encourage everyone to show their support for all the ideas they care about. Here's how the process works.
Who can show their support for ideas?
Anyone registered on the Aviva Community Fund website can vote for their favourite ideas during the Idea Entry and Semi-Final phases of the competition.
Registration is required to show your support. Voting is open to current residents and citizens of Canada. If you are under 18 you will need permission from a parent or guardian to register. Not registered? Register now.
How do you show your support for ideas?
You have the opportunity to show your support for your favourite ideas during both the Idea Entry and Semi-Final phases of the competition. After 3 opening rounds, the 60 most popular ideas in the Idea Entry phase (20 Ideas per opening round) will move on to the Semi-Finals. Then, the 25 most popular semi-finalist ideas will move on to the Judging phase to determine which ideas will get funded.
Here's how it works:
How often can you show your support for an idea?
We want to show the impact that each person can make, so we've made it easy for you to show your commitment to an idea. We allow a person to vote for an idea once per day. So, if you want to show your support for a specific idea, you can come back every day for the whole round or during the Semi-Finals and vote for it again.
How many ideas can you show your support for?
You can support as many ideas as you'd like every day during the Idea Entry and Semi-Final phases. However, you can only cast one vote for each of these ideas per day.
How do you keep track of ideas you’ve supported?
We make it easy to keep track of your favourite ideas. Every time you show your support for an idea, we add the idea to a personalized "My Supported Ideas" page on the Aviva Community Fund site. So every time you log in, it's easy to get back to your favourite ideas.
Can votes be disqualified?
Aviva, the sponsor of the Aviva Community Fund competition, has the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any votes that they deem to be fraudulent or made by any means contrary to the Terms and Conditions. To learn more, be sure to review the full competition Terms & Conditions.
