World Hunger and Extreme Poverty 75% of the world's poorest are smallholder farmers whose incomes depend on how much crops they grow. As a result, improving crop yields of smallholder farmers is the world's single most important lever for ending world hunger and extreme poverty.

The Innovation Drip irrigation units that cost $120 enables smallholder farmers to increase crop yields and double incomes within one year. As a result, they are able to lift their families out of hunger and extreme poverty.

The Constraint Smallholder farmers are unable to finance the purchase of drip irrigationi units.

The Solution OneProsper.org enables social investors to make small loans (i.e. $10.00) to finance the purchase of innovations by borrowers at the Bottom of the Pyramid. The loans are aggregated to fund loan requests.
