Please VOTE for HEAL Cape Breton and help us help some of the people that need it the most.

With HEAL Cape Breton, our ideas reach across our beautiful Island - North, South, East and West. They promote healthy eating and active living, while supporting our local agriculture and helping those living in poverty.

The project has three components:

HEAL Closet This component will provide running shoes to those who cannot afford them.

HEAL Locker Room This component will provide sporting equipment, such as basketballs, soccer balls and bike helmets, to kids in need. We want our communities to get back to the basics of outside play and away from their television and computer screens.

HEAL Food Basket This component will serve two purposes - support our local agriculture sector and supplement the food banks with fresh healthy local produce by connecting the two organizations.

  I'm really excited about this program :) there are so many deserving children here, who would strongly bennifit from this contribution to our island. I myself am looking forward to helping out in any way i can. God bless all who help to make this happen. your helping to put food on tables and give our children hope and support.

  I think this A great idea indeed and I truly hope and pray it will get all the support it requires as we do have A great number of children who just need A jump start in live and if I for one can help in anyway please let me know and I will do my best to be there with my support and God Bless each and everyone who does get on board with this worthwhile project

  Many of us adopt and suppor children in third world countries and that is a wonderful thing to do. However, "Charity should begin at home"! I commend you folk who are working so hard to make Heal CB substainable; maybe I can contribute to make the program reach out to my area of CB??

  There is nothing better than beginning at home in our communities to provide help and support for our people. I commend the initiators of HEAL Cape Breton and will do my part to contribute to its success.
