Overview:

Have you ever had a dream? A dream to play hockey? A dream your team will win the "Big Cup" one day? Or a dream to get the chance to even play hockey? This is what youth and young adults in Nibinamik First Nation dream about. They love hockey in the north.  Nibinamik First Nation (Summer Beaver) is one of the communities that have a fast growing youth and children population in Ontario. Access to this community is by plane or winter roads. Chief, Band Council members, community members and Health Director all believe that physical activity encourages an active, healthy lifestyle and keep youth and adults away from drugs and alcohol. Lets build a synthetic ice rink for Summer Beaver!  Why a synthetic ice rink? 1) it's a healthy choice 2) it's less expensive to run than a traditional ice rink and 3) children will be able to play the sport year round! Make a dream come true - for the love of hockey.
