Childhood Sexual Abuse Support and Rehabilitation Groups

Overview:

Stranger Danger Awareness raises awareness and breaks the barrier of silence of childhood sexual abuse and teaches that most "strangers" that children need to be aware of are those they know. We offer programs and event which promote Family Unity and Child Confidence (two elements that help strengthen children through life). We offer support and try to help with the before, during or after aspects. We raise the awareness in hopes that it never happens to a child, break the barrier of silence in hopes that a child or adults who was abused in their childhood come forward for help, and offer support to those who have been abused. Stranger Danger Awareness is a non profit charity which runs by donations and are quite new so we are still trying to raise funds to make our biggest programs happen. We are working toward a rehabilitation group for children who have been sexually abused as well as a support group for famlies of victims, and adults who have been suffering in silence for years. We will need licensed counsellors for the rehabilitation group and we would like to be able to have them for the support groups as well. We will need a place to hold these groups as well as insurance for a place. We will also need materials for all of these groups. Thank you for your consideration.
