Create a larger dialysis unit in Moose Jaw sask.
October 15, 2012
I asked my daughter (5yrs), if she would want to do something to raise money for the humane society, and she said no can we do a fundraiser for the hospital. To help grandma stay in Moose Jaw , so I sent the following letter to the five hills health, mla, and to the kidney foundation. I thought I would forward this to you as we'll, I am very proud of my girl..
We are wanting to raise money for the dialysis unit in Moose Jaw .
I am writing this letter in regards to the renal unit in Moose Jaw, Sask. it seems as though there is not enough room, staff to accommodate the needs for the patients. In turn making these people have to travel long distances, this gets extremely financially unmanageable at times.
My five year old daughter, is a very loving, helpful girl. She would like to start a campaign to raise money, and awareness of renal disease.
In the past year her grandmother got very ill, and is now needing to go to Regina for dialysis four times a week, costing her $70.00 each trip. Recently she has been able to get into Moose Jaw twice a month, but with her heart condition only working 20% traveling is very hard on her. I assume there are more cases like this out there.
The plan is to raise enough money to open the option to having more space in Moose Jaw, this way she will be able to see her grand mother more.
My daughter would like your support in her efforts.
My daughters name is Devlynn McClung.
